Meet four 2026 Getlin’s Corner Foundation scholars whose stories reflect resilience, service, and determination. In their own words, they show how scholarship support eases financial pressure and gives military children greater freedom to pursue education, leadership, and service.

“I began to lead programs to ease the transition of PCS and deployments for new and military children moving to my county, showing them around and creating resources to help them be prepared, until my initiatives grew nationally. The service of my parents always weighed heavily on me, and I made sure I served my community just as my parents had served their country.”

“Six months before graduating high school, I lost my mother to suicide, an experience that profoundly shaped who I am and strengthened my desire to help others. Through every challenge I have faced, my military family has taught me the importance of resilience, hard work, and service to others. Being raised in a Marine Corps family has shown me what it means to persevere even when circumstances are difficult.”
